From the very moment of its creation, Sauvage was established as a force of nature. Its punchy freshness conquered the world at lightning speed, like a tidal wave. Today, it is exploring new territory in the magical twilight hour, that very moment when everything changes…

In the suspended time of an ephemeral blue dusk, this new Dior Sauvage makes its appearance. In a parenthesis inhabited by ancient legends where wolves are gods and men let their animal instincts talk.  The cool air of nightfall awakens

the aromas of the earth.  Nature is revealed, intense and fragrant, releasing her deep,
resinous, and spicy scents.

Inspired by this mythical “Magic Hour,” François Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator, has created a new, mysterious Eau de Parfum that adds new depth to the face of Sauvage.  This new, invigorating whirlwind sweeps everything from its path.  Its intense and smooth scent is nocturnal and fresh, surprising
and yet familiar. Mysteriously powerful in its perfectly made-to-measure freshness. It is an Eau de Parfum of sensual accords that embody the magic of this suspended time, when everything settles, and when the blazing sky is sublimely inviting.

It was not, therefore, about doing “more” but about doing “different.” About creating new balance without lapsing into excess. About playing with depth rather than overstatement.  About enriching pathways, modulating notes, and seeking a point of suspension that was simultaneously dazzling and rich.  Thus a perfume was born, in the image of this spirited Sauvage.

“I wanted to maintain Sauvage’s character and its very confident, very virile temperament, while also keeping its strong and faithful scent. But I didn’t want the perfume to “shout,” and so I recreated it step-by-step, reconsidering all the balanced elements within the composition. I wanted to “open” it rather that strengthen it, by giving it depth and additional nuances.” François Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator

From its framework to its top notes, every aspect of Sauvage has been reinvented, while respecting its signature. This new, invigorating whirlwind sweeps everything from its path. Its intense and smooth scent is nocturnal and fresh, surprising and yet familiar. Mysteriously powerful in its perfectly made-to-measure freshness. It is an Eau de Parfum of sensual accords that embody the magic of this suspended time, when everything settles, and when the blazing sky is sublimely inviting.
